Yes, Winston Churchill was a Freemason

Rhetoric is the art of persuasion; the art of speaking and writing effectively.

Conspiracy theories explain events by pointing to elaborate plots of powerful and sinister cabals.  For many years on the shortwave and patriot circuit, the source of all evil was either the Jews or the Jesuits.  The culprit’s identity was tied to the station’s ownership and their affiliates and advertisers.  These elements all played musical chairs on the world stage against the backdrop of geopolitics and popular sentiment.  Try this out on search: ‘Freemasonry is Jewish.’  Now, try ‘Freemasonry is Jesuits.’  You’ll get a mix with both, but either way, plenty of ammunition that the conspiracy theory you have chosen is The Right One.

This is what Alan Watt had to say about conspiracy theories in a talk he gave on October 26, 2009, on Republic Broadcasting Network (RBN):

“Over the weekend, I was thinking about something that I’ve said so often that it’s become almost monotonous for me to even repeat it.  The fact is you don’t HAVE to look into the way-out conspiracies and conspiracy sites to try and find out what’s going on.  You’re living through what’s going on.  You’re living through it, the signs and the symptoms of what’s going on AFFECT you.  The laws that are put out there to take control of your lives basically are affecting you.  You are living THROUGH what’s happening.  You’re seeing your own government participate in the furtherance of tyranny… and it’s OPEN.  It’s in your FACE.  The only thing you don’t have really is the ultimate group that finances all the politicians and puts them in power coming out and saying, ‘Yes we do it’ or ‘Yes I did it.’  Most people truly want someone to come out and say – it’s got to be on television too; it wouldn’t work any other way.  It’s got to be a well-known face coming out on television saying, ‘Yes we did it,’ before they are happy.  Before that happens, no matter if they have 100% evidence that their lives are being changed DRASTICALLY, they won’t really do anything about it.  They are still waiting for somebody to confess.  That’s why conspiracy sites are put up.  Remember too, conspiracy theories and so on and theorists were put out by counterintelligence to pooh-pooh anybody who’s trying to dig into what’s happening and who’s behind it.  Unfortunately, a lot of conspiracy theorists grab that title and run with it; they’re very proud of it.

You’re living through the greatest changes that have ever happened in hundreds of years… HUNDREDS of years.  One of the Rockefellers talked about that 30 years ago, that the system coming in would be the greatest upheaval the world had ever seen since the beginning of the industrial revolution.  They said the same thing with the internet, that would add to that.  Well, they knew then that they were going to use the internet NOT to help you, mainly to confuse you, but primarily to get you hooked on it so they could watch and monitor everything that you’re doing.  They knew the society they wanted to bring in.

Conspiracy Theory, Really?  The Common Query:

"Everyone Looks for a Conspiracy Theory,
Ignoring Daily Announcements which Should Make Them Leery,
Citizens Under Scrutiny by Those Who 'Serve' Them,
Black-Clad Battalions Should at Least Unnerve Them,
But Their World is Chaos-Fear-Trivia, Bimbos, Boobs,
Solemnity, Hysteria, Beamed from Plasma-Ray Tubes,
As Long as Routines Go On Unimpeded,
They Play in the Now, Don't See What is Needed,
They'll Wish They Participated, Wish They Knew,
Wish Others Would Help When They Come for You"

I just came across this article from 2015, “Jesuits, Jews, and Freemasons: Rhetorics of conspiracy” in which the author states his position quite clearly.  Rhetorically.  Effectively.  “…for the sake of intellectual rigor, I propose to combat the reassuring sentiment of a difference between them, the ‘believers’ and the producers of the conspiracy beliefs, and us—who like to think ourselves immune from any temptation to explain the world and its dramas on the basis of determinist narratives, immune from a desire to live in a perfectly transparent world and immune from a longing to expose the hidden cards in the allegedly controlling hand.”

There are problems with conspiracy theories and reasons why it is good to stay away from them and not call yourself a conspiracy theorist.  Repeating Alan Watt, “..conspiracy theories and so on and theorists were put out by counterintelligence to pooh-pooh anybody who’s trying to dig into what’s happening and who’s behind it.”

We look for heuristics (mental shortcuts) to help us explain the world.  Shortcuts can be helpful, but if your worldview is built on shortcuts, in other words, if you haven’t done primary source reading, real world observations, and deep thinking, you are likely participating in a deception, and highly unlikely to be able to put across your ideas effectively, especially to those who think of themselves as ‘us.’

Alan Watt often said, “Facts don’t matter,” and in this talk on RBN from December 28, 2010, he elaborates on that.  “Facts often do not determine our beliefs, but rather our beliefs (usually non-rational beliefs) determine the facts that we accept.”

Alan’s work was for individuals.  This is the opposite of the stated aims of Freemasonry and the work it purports to do on The Apprentice.  Masonry’s aims are not to help an individual, a Rough Ashlar that must be shaped.  The aim as stated in Albert Pike’s Morals and Dogma is “to develop the free State from the rough ashlar.”  As sold to the apprentice, it’s a self-improvement society, shaping better men.  Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.  Pike writes, “Refined society requires greater minuteness of regulation.”  Joy!  The perfect society is micromanaged by control freaks.

Today’s Redux 266 is the first of a three-part conversation Alan Watt had with Vyzygoth on his show “From the Grassy Knoll.”  The introduction to the Redux featured a little reading from the last page of the first volume of Cutting Through, “The Androgynous (Hermaphroditic) Agenda.”

“The man in rags who speaks pure wisdom is ignored in the west. Trained to “respect success,” the masses follow “media messiahs” who travel in Leer Jets, the Messianic Mafia, Master Masons, the Prophets of Profit.

Sheep are fleeced. They are Mutt-On. The earliest priests of Sumer wore sheep-skin loincloths, lions in sheep’s-clothing. Masons’ aprons are made of wool. Persian Sufis, now Mohammedan Sufis, derive their name from their wool covering. They are the “mystic” sect leading Mohammedans to the same “point within a circle.” A similar sect “Hasidic Rabbis” lead Jews into the same enclosure. Each “flock” follows their master, thinking birth place and culture has reserved a place in Paradise.

This work is for the individual spirit, for those who know that this universe and this world was made by something greater and more wonderful than human minds could ever dream of. The simplicity of accepting this is the beginning of personal freedom.”

Freemasonry’s work: shaping rough you into a perfect stone with which a refined society can be built.

Alan Watt’s work: seeking to reach the spirit of an individual whose quest is FREEDOM.

If you are looking for proofs of a conspiracy, then it is best to seek from the source.  What do Freemasons write about Freemasonry?  Jews about Jews?  Jesuits about Jesuits?  Will there be spin?  Yes.  Is the source unimpeachable?  No.  But you are likelier to find truth at the source than in the rabbit holes that have been dug and baited for you.

According to “A Remarkable Connection of Freemasonry and Israel”, in 1915, First Lord of the Admiralty, Winston Churchill requested Dr. Chaim Weizmann to help Britain increase its production of acetone.  Weizmann delivered, and Churchill persuaded British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to support the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine.  That letter, the Balfour Declaration, written to Lord Walter Rothschild in 1917, was a pledge that Britain would facilitate the objective of a Jewish state, and it made Britain the first major power to endorse Zionism.

In 1947, just before an important UN vote on the partition of Palestine, Weizmann flew to Washington D.C. to persuade (using rhetoric) President Harry S. Truman to support the establishment of a Jewish state.  UN Resolution 181 was the basis of establishing that Jewish state in Palestine.

“On May 14, 1948, the Jewish Agency for Palestine led by David Ben Gurion declared the establishment of the state of Israel, and Truman recognized the new country within minutes of the announcement.”

“David Ben Gurion became its first prime minister and Chaim Weizmann its first president. The men pictured on this slide played a pivotal role in the history of modern Israel; all save one were Freemasons!”

David Ben Gurion is ‘documented’ to have been a Freemason, though documentation is scant.

Winston Churchill was initiated into Studholme Lodge No. 1591 in London on May 24, 1901, at the age of 26.  He was passed to the second degree on July 19, 1901, and raised to the third degree (Master Mason) on March 5, 1902.  Churchill’s father, Lord Randolph Churchill, his uncle, the 8th Duke of Marlborough, and his first cousin, the 9th Duke of Marlborough, were all Freemasons.  His earliest Masonic ancestor was Lord Henry John Spencer Churchill (1797–1840), who served as Provincial Grand Master for Oxfordshire.

Harry S. Truman was the 33rd President of the United States, and in that capacity implemented the Marshall Plan after World War II and established the Truman Doctrine which led to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).  He served as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Missouri in 1940 and held the 33rd Degree in the Scottish Rite.
